I’ve read Europe Through the Backdoor and five of Rick’s guidebooks (including Best of Europe, Best of Eastern Europe, and several country and city guides), and I still learned something new. Rick Steves is my homeboy, I never could’ve done my 95-day 50-city tour without him.

Awesome video!! Def. keep your eye on your wallet in Vegas with all the street shows. Most mainstream travel sites want you to book your overpriced flight and overpriced hotel. I was wondering what the most economical way to fly.

46:15 – “Money Belt” is so funny! Way better than professional comedian. Even better than a whole Jim Carrey flick.

Thanks, Martin. We looked into it, and we now believe the sign is from Norway. The sign reads “Sentralesykhus,” which is Norwegian for “central sick house” (hospital). Swedish is “central sjuka hus,” Danish is “central syge hus.”

Hey Rick! at 43:39 their is an error, the sign is from Sweden not Denmark…
