I am having forty fits at the idea of a taxi; it is 86 kilometres by the shortest route, a taxi would cost you an arm and a leg!! Quite honestly the cheapest way is by train, the fare is between 16 and 22 Euros each way per person with a journey time around 100 minutes. First train of the day is at 0818. You will certainly not get a cheaper fare by taxi, would probably cost you five times the fare quoted as you would have to pay for the taxi to return to San Sebastia/Donostia.

The cheapest and quickest form of transport between San Sebastian & Pamploma is bus. There are 10 buses per day, the journey time is between 1hr & 1hr 15mins and the cost for a single fare is just €6.81.

To get to San Sebastian itself from the airport you can take the bus, which runs hourly, and takes 30mins or better still, perhaps, you could pre-book a taxi at a cost of €36.00 which between the 4 of you works out quite reasonable. You could also pre-book your return at the same time.
