Audrey Audrey Audrey. You’re asking some seriously newbie traveler questions here… Get to Siem Reap by bus. Book it all the way through – you change buses at the border- at your guesthouse in Khaosan Road. Do it the easy way.

Four people with luggage, not going to make it in one taxi, need either something bigger or as the last poster said take the bus. You can take a taxi, if you can find a taxi driver who will take you at a reasonable price. Reasonable meaning to the taxi driver, remember he has to return in most cases empty. The bus is the best option other then flying which is very expensive.

I would fly to Siem Reap as the “road” is a 150km, 4 lane dirt road with lots of trucks….made the mistake of going by road a couple of months ago…absolute nightmare….
