Taxis are metered so it depends on where you’re going. A taxi to the Prudential Center in the Back Bay would be about $30 including the $7.50 airport fee and tunnel toll.
The Silver line trolleybus stops at all airport termnals and goes through the tunnel to South Station where you can change for the Red Line to other places. Or free Massport shuttle buses take you to the Blue Line station, with trains to downtown and other lines. The buses have wheelchair lifts, most subway stations have elevators. See the map linked below for details. The cash fare is $2, less if you plan to travel multiple times and get a Charlie card at the Blue line station.

I agree. Take the Silver Line – it’s dirt cheap compared to a taxi. You’re looking at a price range of around $30-$50 depending on traffic and your actual destination.

For a more fun experience. Try the Water Shuttles. You take the #66 logan airport free shuttle bus to the water taxi terminal and then you pay like $10 to cross the harbor.
Water Taxis
Three water taxi businesses operate at the Boston Logan Airport dock with more than a dozen vessels between them. Water taxis function like land taxis – passengers can board a water taxi waiting at the dock or call ahead for a reservation. If no water taxi is present, they can be called using one of the call boxes at the top of the gangway or by telephone. Hours of operation, rates, and contact information for each water taxi service is listed below.
